Opioid Crisis Could Be Blamed On One Family-San Diego Sues Drug Makers

The City of San Diego Is suing opioid manufacturers and distributors over the opioid crisis.

Deputy City Attorney Mark Ankcorn tells KOGO news their investigation uncovered how one family created the opioid crisis with unscientific evidence presented to the FDA and doctors.

He says those who track drugs down to the pill also stood by as the opioid crisis worsened.

And he says the legal drug business caused the illegal drug business to grow with opioid use of heroin and fetanyl leading to thousands of deaths.
