With the death of actor Luke Perry at age 52, a San Diego stroke specialist says while we often think of stroke victims in their 70's or 80's, strokes in younger people aren't uncommon.
Dr. Mary Kalafut is the the director of the Scripps health stroke center. She tells KOGO News a stroke can possibly be due to a tear in a blood vessel or an irregular heartbeat or there is cholesterol build up in the blood vessel walls that feed the brain.
