A former FDA official says the opioid crisis isn't about blame, but rather about fixing the problem.
Former FDA Commissioner Peter Pitts says most of those dying of overdoses are drug abusers, not the responsible opioid patient, who needs pain drugs to stay alive, literally.
Pitts tells KOGO News to solve the opioid crisis, the public needs to know and doctors need to recognize there are other drugs that are effective that can be used instead of opioids.
The innocent victims are those who have chronic pain and are being cut off from the amount of drugs they need.
