LAKESIDE (KOGO) - A woman is under arrest following a wild overnight pursuit and standoff in Lakeside.
The Sheriff's Department says it responded to calls of a red Chevy Camaro going the wrong way on Highway 67 at around 1:00 a.m. When deputies caught up with the driver she sat in her car streaming the incident live on Facebook. After a couple of hours, she started driving again, doing donuts in the street before leading deputies on another chase despite having both of her back tires blown out.
The pursuit ended when the car hit a curb. Deputies smashed the windows, tased the driver and then pulled her out of the car. It's unclear if the woman was driving under the influence, but she was taken to the hospital.
