VISTA (KOGO) - Authorities are increasing the amount of the award for information leading to the arrest of the person or persons behind multiple explosions in Vista.
San Diego County Crime Stoppers had initially offered a $1,000 reward, but now the Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms and Explosives (ATF), which is also investigating the incidents, has stepped in to offer an additional $4,000 reward. The FBI is also investigating.
Three homemade bombs were detonated with within hours of each other in Vista on Wednesday. Although no injuries were reported, two of the bombs sparked fires but were quickly put out.
NBC7 reported one of the bombs was detonated near a women's clinic.
Because of the close proximity of when and where the bombs were set off, investigators believe it is the work of the same person or persons.
