SAN DIEGO - Memorial Day weekend brought some much needed businesses to San Diego hotels.
Lydia Bartell, Vice President of Bartell Hotels, tells NBC 7, they were booked solid.
"Very strong Memorial Day Weekend,” said Bartell. “I would say same as pre-pandemic levels in terms of revenue.”
The San Diego Tourism Authority says hotels in the area have been in the 75 percent occupancy range in recent weeks, close to the pre-pandemic average of 77 percent. With Comic-Con and San Diego Pride back in full-swing more of those tourism dollars could be rolling back into the local economy.
