Russian Oligarch's Yacht Now in San Diego

SAN DIEGO - A yacht owned by a Russian oligarch is now docked in San Diego.

The yacht known as the 'Amadea' pulled into the San Diego Bay Monday after it was seized by federal authorities near Fiji earlier this month. The capture was a part of a Department of Justice campaign called KletpoCapture, aimed at tracking down Russian oligarch vessels since the start of the invasion of Ukraine. The 350 foot, $325 Million dollar yacht is owned by Russian billionaire Suleiman Kerimov, who was sanctioned by the Treasury Department in 2018, accused of profiting from Russia's annexation of Crimea back in 2014.

It's unclear what will happen to the vessel.
