CARLSBAD - An investigation is underway after what's believed to be human remains were found in Carlsbad.
Police told reporting partner 10 News a bone was found on the bank of a creek near El Salto Falls Thursday. The San Diego County Medical Examiner believes the bone may have belonged to a human but more investigation is needed.
While the area where the bone was found is not accessible to the public, police are asking folks to stay out of the nature preserve as authorities continue to investigate the area.
