SAN DIEGO - Gas prices may start looking a little better as we move through the remaining weeks of summer.
USC Business Professor Shon Hiatt tells NBC 7 the downward trend in gas prices will keep going if the price of crude oil remains stable.
"If the refiners pass on those cost savings, it could get down to about $4 again in the United States," said Hiatt.
But in California, because of our taxes, gas could likely remain above $5 a gallon on average.
