SAN DIEGO - You've seen them at the beach, Downtown and North Park but where are these millennials coming from?
It seems America's Finest City is attracting young adults from California's other big cities. According to U.S. Census data 9.2 percent of all Millennials who moved to San Diego were from Los Angeles and about 2.4 percent came from the Bay Area.
But perhaps the real reason why we're noticing more young people in the city is because they never left.
70 percent of young adults who grew up in San Diego have stayed here. So where did the other 30 percent go? There's a bit of pattern a here. Of those who left, just over seven percent moved to Los Angeles and about two percent moved to San Francisco.
About one percent of San Diego's young adults moved to Phoenix and that's also the same for Las Vegas and Seattle.
