SAN DIEGO - A homicide investigation is underway after a body was found on the U.S. side of the Tijuana River.
Authorities discovered what they call a badly decomposed body in the Tijuana River channel Monday afternoon. San Diego Fire-Rescue assisted with recovery of the body because it was in a hard to reach area, surrounded by mud, debris and other obstacles. San Diego Police say age, ethnicity or gender cannot be determined and the San Diego County Medical Examiner's office says the death does not seem natural.
A cause of death has not yet been determined.
