Lakeside Resident Creates Mini Petco Park in Back Yard

SAN DIEGO - Some Padres fans will go to any lengths to celebrate their team but one East County man has managed to create something special for not only his family but the community as well.

Lakeside resident Luke Peet has created a small scale replica of Petco Park in his own back yard. He tells reporting partner 10 News it's been a passion project for him which started two years ago when he retired from the Navy.

"You are going 100 miles an hour, then everything stops," said Peet. "This park has been a big therapy for me. It keeps my hands busy."

Peet makes most of the items in the mini park himself, but it's not all for his family. The mini park has also become a place for charity events and mostly recently Peet helped raise over $18,000 for Camp Kesem, which organizes a free summer camp for kids of cancer patients.
