The San Diego Police Department has released the body cam video from that officer-involved shooting near El Cajon
The video released from that deadly incident on January 17th shows officers used bean bag guns to try to subdue Frank Brower, 77, the suspect involved in the stabbing death of a woman at the Alvarado Pharmacy. Brower, a pharmacist, was then seen reaching for a rifle in his SUV and continued to ignore officers commands and that's when officers opened fire.
Officers rendered medical aid until paramedics arrived but Brower did not survive. The two San Diego Police officers are on desk duty as the San Diego County Sheriff's Department investigates the shooting.
The shooting came after San Diego Police responded to a fight at the College Area drug store. Mary Ellen Carter, 66 of Lakeside, worked at the pharmacy and was found dead inside the business, according to NBC 7.
