SAN DIEGO - The man whom authorities say tried to recruit a teenaged girl into prostitution learns his fate in federal court.
35-year-old Keenon Green was convicted on one count of attempted sex trafficking of children and one count of attempted enticement of a minor. He was arrested at a park in Santee last year where he had planned to meet up with a 16-year-old girl he had been talking to on Instagram and take her to Orange County for sex work.
The girl, however, was an undercover Sheriff's Deputy who was taking part in a human trafficking sting operation.
Prosecutors say the man had messaged other Instagram users, attempting to recruit them for prostitution as well.
