SAN DIEGO - A San Diego Police officer is arrested on domestic violence charges.
James Walker was off-duty when he was arrested Thursday evening at a home in Mira Mesa after on-duty officers from the department responded to a 911 call about a domestic violence incident. The Department says Walker has been suspended from the force until criminal and internal investigations have been completed.
Walker is the sixth San Diego County-based law enforcement professional arrested in recent weeks after another San Diego Police officer and two San Diego County Sheriff's Deputies were arrested on suspicion of public intoxication and two more Sheriff's deputies were arrested on drug charges.
