San Diego Adds $15 Million For Affordable Housing

San Diego leaders have announced an additional $15 million in funding for the Bridge to Home initiative, aimed at boosting the construction of more affordable homes across the city.

This marks the eighth round of funding for the program since it began in 2021. To date, the initiative has committed more than $100 million to support 30 projects and approximately 3,000 affordable homes.

The city is urging qualified developers to apply for the funding, which is intended to help close financing gaps that can otherwise prevent affordable housing developments from moving forward.

Under the program, households earning less than 30% of the area median income may qualify. For a family of four, that means a household income of $52,450 or less.
