When Do They Learn? DON'T Get Into a Stranger's Car!

This guy has been doing this for a long time. and there is an even more disturbing aspect to this case, which I will get to in a moment. Here is what happened:

Spicer Conant is under arrest in connection with at least two incidents in Escondido in which a man tried to lure young girls and women into his car.

Monday, a young girl said she was picking up her mom's car in the parking lot of Del Taco on El Norte Parkway when a man in a red Mazda Miata convertible blocked her path to ask directions. He offered to give her a ride and when she took her phone out to take a photo of him, he peeled off. She immediately reported it to police.

Last week, a young girl walking near Mission Middle School was approached by a similar man also asking for directions.

According to investigators, Mr. Conant has been doing this for at least a year. He popped up on the radar after a 2 teen aged girls reported he had offered them money to get into his car.

Ultimately, one girl DID get into the car, and police moved in. There were no charges filed in that case...but police have been keeping an eye on him since.

Let me go back to that. In more than one case involving Conant, teenagers GOT INTO HIS CAR. What in the Sam Hill are they thinking?

Yes, I am yelling.  In today's world, I find it unfathomable that these girls would get into a car with a stranger. An 11 year old girl approached by this man knew not to get into the car. An 18 year old and a 16 year old hopped right in!

After the horrible cases of Amber DuBois and Chelsea King, girls whose young lives were stopped in their tracks by a registered sex offender, haven't we learned? In Amber's case, he got her into his car.

If you are a parent, are you talking to your daughters...and sons for that matter, about NOT GETTING INTO A CAR WITH A STRANGER? Good Grief.
