Friends and family of a San Diego teenager are heartbroken after his death at the Grand Canyon over the weekend. 18-year old Luis Gonzales was visiting the park with friends when he fell hundreds of feet off the rim on Saturday.
Because of the steep terrain and snow, rescuers had to wait until Sunday to bring in a helicopter to remove his body.
His friends are working to set up a vigil for the Herbert Hoover High grad and a Go Fund Me page has been set up to help the family pay for his funeral.
