Want a snail trail on your face? The beauty treatment is becoming more popular. Could it be the fountain of youth? Or is it just gross?
LaDona and I were talking about this earlier. We've both had traditional facials and at least one of us MIGHT have tried Botox (and maybe a few other fillers). But that's about it. Now let's talk about a "treatment" that sounds like a practical joke...but it's not.
Some salons are offering "escargot" facials, which is basically 60 minutes of letting snails crawl across your face. The snails are allegedly fed organic vegetables and are sanitized so that you don't get any diseases or parasites.
So, the big question -- would you let snails crawl all over your face to moisturize it? To fight aging? To soften your skin? What about snail slime extract in a jar? Some are trying it...
By the way -- those snail facials are about $240 per treatment. That's a lot of dough for slime!
