Oprah just said WHAT??

Made you look! That's called "click bait" and we've likely all fallen victim to it. It's annoying so why do they do it?

We've all seen the headlines: "You Won't Believe What She Said" or "The 10 Things You Need But Didn't Know About"...things like that. Headlines designed to get you to look only to find out that you have to click through a few (to many) pages to get the "pay off"...what your really wanted to see in the first place. And each time you click, you’ve just made a little money for someone.

San Diego State University management information systems lecturer, Dr. Steven Andres, tells us the risks of clicking on these “news stories” and who makes money each time you give in and look .
