Thieves, some of them carrying babies, ripped off an El Cajon jewelry store.
It happened at Forever Fine Jewelry on February 28. The owner's daughter says a group of 9 people came into the store in the middle of the afternoon, distracted the owner, and raided the safe in the back. Two of the women were holding babies. One woman stuffed 10 pounds of jewelry into her skirt and bra. They got away with about $200,000 worth of gold and silver.
The owner got suspicious and hit a silent alarm, but it didn't work. If you know anything, call police.
