$1,000 Reward For Hit and Run Driver in Ocean Beach

San Diego Police are offering a reward for information leading to the arrest of a hit and run driver in Ocean Beach. It happened just after midnight April 9th, when a 26-year-old Julio Vazquez stopped along Sunset Cliffs Boulevard near Robb Field to help a driver in a disabled car.

That's when another vehicle hit him and drove away. Vazquez was taken to the hospital with a fractured leg and internal injuries. Police say the car is a green 1998 or 1999 Subaru Outback Legacy wagon. It will have a right front end damage, including a damaged grill, fog lamp and right side mirror.

Anyone with information on the identity or location of the suspect and/or the suspect’s vehicle is asked to call SDPD’s Traffic Division at (858) 495-7805 or the Crime Stoppers anonymous tip line at (888) 580-8477. Visit www.sdcrimestoppers.org for information on how to send a web or mobile app tip. Crime Stoppers is offering up to a $1,000 reward to anyone with information that leads to an arrest in this case.
