What You Can Bet Will Happen on Sunday

The Super Bowl game hasn’t even been played yet, but the gaming that’s become part of the big game is already setting records.

In a report by Axios, the American Gaming Association is estimating that $1.39 billion dollars will be spent by American on wagers on the game between the Kansas Cit Chiefs and the Philadelphia Eagles. They say that’s an 11-percent increase over what was spent on betting last year.

With sports betting legal now in 39 of the 50 states, it’s not a surprise to anyone who tracks these kinds of things. With only 11 states, including California, that have not legalized sports betting, you can bet the sport of sports betting will grow in the years to come.

That too is not a surprise, with an American Gaming Association survey finding that 90-percent of Americans say they view legal betting as an acceptable form of entertainment.  The CEO of the association says legal betting protects consumers and enhance tax revenue.

So when you consider the over one billion dollars spent on legal sports betting, the billions of dollars spent on advertising and the billions of dollars the billionaire NFL owners spend over the years, you can see why the Super Bowl is indeed called the BIG GAME.
