Could What You Do in the Morning Mean a Longer Life?

The old adage about how eating an apple a day is supposed to keep the doctor away may be true or may be just a reminder to eat healthy food.

But a recent study suggests that drinking coffee in the morning may help you live longer.

There have been multiple studies in recent years that have shown that drinking coffee has various health benefits including lower risks for Type 2 diabetes, heart attacks, stroke and other things.

But when you drink coffee may be as important as how much coffee you drink according to this new study involving 40,000 American adults.

It found that drinking coffee in the morning can increase your chances of living longer.

The researchers found that morning coffee drinkers showed a 16-percent lower risk of death from all causes and a 31percent lower risk of death from heart disease compared to non-coffee drinkers.

The researchers say the benefits were most pronounced for morning drinkers who have two to three cups every day…with a 29% lower risk of death from all causes than those who don’t drink coffee at all.

When the news about this study spreads, it could mean longer lines at coffee shops every morning.

But then it’s probably not a bad idea to still have an apple in the afternoon.
