Judge Blocks Trump Policy Of Returning Asylum Seekers To Mexico

A federal judge in California is temporarily blocking the Trump administration's policy of returning some asylum seekers to Mexico. The San Francisco judge said his injunction will take effect Friday. The Trump administration started sending some Central American asylum seekers who came to the U.S.-Mexico border back to Mexico to await their asylum proceedings. The policy change was meant to put a stop to the practice of releasing migrant families into the U.S. while they wait for their immigration hearings.
