President Trump is making changes in the U.S. Secret Service leadership. Yesterday, President Trump appointed career Secret Service member James Murray to replace Houston native and former U.S. Marine General Randolph Tex Alles as the agency's director. Alles served for 35 years in the U.S. Marine Corps rising to the rank of General. The Texas A&M grad also worked at a top level position with Customs and Border Protection after his active service with the Marines. Alles was a rare outsider in the Secret Service.
It is unclear whether Alles' ouster is related to the recent arrest of a Chinese woman on the property of President Trump's Mar-a-Lago resort in Florida. She was carrying a thumb drive with malware, four cell phones and several USB drives while numerous electronic devices and thousands of dollars in cash were found in her hotel room.
