Bob Pittman, Chairman and CEO of iHeart Media says radio is still a strong companion for listeners in a world crowded with options.
Pittman sat down with KOGO's Cliff Albert to discuss the unique role of radio in today's society. He says he believes radio has become the number one social medium, with Facebook, email and texting assuming the role played in earlier years by the telephone.
Pittman has had a successful career in media for numerous years. In addition to being a co-founder and programmer who led the team that created MTV, he served as CEO of MTV Networks, AOL Networks, Time Warner Enterprises and other large companies. (iHeart Media is parent company of AM600 KOGO).
