I have kind of a unique perspective on this. I covered part of the OJ murder trial in the 90's and knew the case as well as any reporter could. I realize this case has nothing to do with the 2 murders, but OJ made some strange statements at his parole hearing yesterday. Specifically, he told the board he led a "conflict-free life..."
Um, really!!!??? What about those 911 calls from Nicole Brown when she was reportedly being beaten and threatened? What about the fact that Mr. Simpson was found liable for the deaths of Nicole and Ron Goldman in the civil case against him?
In this case, I get it -- he did his time for this robbery... or at least part of it. But, did the board fall for his charm and celebrity? Or is he a changed man?
What do you think?
