"He's above it all" That's the reaction from John Cox, GOP candidate for California Governor, over news that his Democratic opponent Gavin Newsom has a CNN debate on his calendar but, has rejected requests by a California newspaper and television station to go to to toe with him on state issues.
Newsom apparently texted to the San Francisco Chronicle that he was unaware of his debate schedule.
But, Cox told Carl DeMaio that he thinks Newsom has had a charmed life and feels "above it all".
