Amazon is now the nation's second $1 Trillion dollar company.
First it was Apple a few weeks ago. Tuesday morning, Amazon passed the $1 trillion mark.
It didn't finish the day at that number but, ended just below the threshold.
Apple and Amazon now make up more than 8% of the entire value of the S&P 500.
