Kelsea Ballerini and Halsey are like two peas in a pod, but their backgrounds are entirely different.
In an interview with Cody Alan, the New Jersey born pop sensation and Tennessee native country superstar revealed why their friendship works flawlessly.
"I think that what we do now makes where we come from feel, not all that different. Kelsea and I are the types to be like, "Do you want to go get a burger and hang out at my house?" says Halsey.
"And not talk about anything that's like, "work"?" Kelsea chimes in, finishing her sentence like a best friend would.
"So, that's Jersey, and that's Tennessee. That's where we come from, its working-class people," says the "Bad At Love" singer.
Kelsea and Halsey teamed up on the track 'The Other Girl' for Kelsea's latest album 'Kelsea.' The country music star admits that she loved working with Halsey on this track because they are "real-life friends."
