Video shows a man suspected of plowing through pedestrians on a Toronto sidewalk Monday taken into custody by police after a brief confrontation during which he reportedly shouted at the officers, "kill me".
As you can see in the video below an officer ordered the suspect multiple times to "get down" as he raised an unknown object at the officer.
Eventually, the man did comply with the officer's demands and was taken into custody. He was arrested about a mile from where the carnage took place.
Nine people were killed in the incident and an estimated 16 injured. Authorities have still not released what they consider to be a possible motive in the incident though witnesses say they saw the van veer onto the sidewalk on purpose.
