You may hear someone at the office today say “May the 4th Be With You.”
If you’re not a Star Wars fan you may not get it, but the play on words for anyone who knows anything about the Star Wars films, it’s even bigger May the 4th be with you day than in the recent past.
That’s because this May the 4th Be With You Day comes just 21 days before the newest episode called “Solo: A Star Wars Story”.
For true Star Wars fans, you can’t get enough of it. And now that Disney owns the Star Wars franchise, they know it too.
The new Star Wars land at Disneyland is headed toward completion in 2019. And Star Wars is everywhere.
So that’s why someone where you work or where you go to school may be dressed up like Han Solo, or Luke Skywalker, or Chewbacca or Darth Vader or Rae or Po or one of the many other iconic characters from the Star Wars series.
Many Star Wars fans will spend this special day for them buying their tickets for the new movie so they can be among the first to see it when it opens in theaters on May 25th.
The USA Today suggests several ways to celebrate May the 4th be with You Day.
Among them: Watch all of the movies. Or watch them again. Or try out a virtual reality adventure. Or buy something fun and extremely nerdy.
If you’re not a Star Wars follower, then you may not get it. But Star Wars is what it is because it’s the classic story of the battle between good and evil and in the end, the good wins. So may the force be with you on this May the 4th.
