San Diego Police say a man accused of sexually assaulting a woman in the East Village November 5th is under arrest, but the investigation continues.
The woman was attacked at 13th and "J" around 11:30.
Police say the 26 year old woman was walking along 13th street to her car when a man grabbed her from behind, pulled her into the bushes and sexually assaulted her.
Police put out a sketch of the suspect and through several tips they were led to 51 year old Gary Cushinberry, who was arrested on several sexual assault charges.
He was arrested this morning, November 16th, a few blocks from the assault at 17th street and L.
Police are asking for information on this active investigation.
