You may not realize all the aspects of life that are being disrupted due to the ongoing partial government shutdown. Researchers who study living things, including insects and plants and animals and microbes say their experiments have been disrupted and months or even years of work are put at risk, and some projects may be ruined.
In addition to time and money lost, an entomologist says the public will lose out on useful knowledge because most of the research is aimed at protecting lives and homes and food.
