Oceanside police are looking for a man who a 16 year-old girl said, tried to kidnap her while she was walking to school this morning.
Police say the girl described the suspect as a white, thin, balding man in his 50's. He was wearing a tan zip-up sweatshirt and black jeans. He was dirty, possibly homeless.
The girl was walking near Mesa drive and Vanilla way just after 7:00am Thursday on her way to El Camino High School when the suspect grabbed her in a bear hug. She struggled with the suspect and was able to escape when he fell to the ground. She notified security once she arrived at school.
