WEATHER ALERT: New Storm Hits San Diego, Flooding Possible

A Flash Flood Watch went into effect at 6 a.m. Wednesday and lasts until 6 p.m.

The National Weather Service in San Diego says close to one inch of rain was expected near the coast with an inch and a half of rain in the inland valleys and possibly more in the foothills and mountains.

Some street flooding is expected and police and the CHP are advising drivers to slow down and remind them that they must keep their headlights on during the rain. The NWS says the storm is not as cold as the one on Thanksgiving, with the snow level during Wednesday's storm at 6,000 feet

Forecasters say a thunderstorm is possible with lightning and some gusty winds. SeaWorld announced it is closed Wednesday due to the storm and will re-open at 11 a.m. Thursday.
