As a news reporter I covered Kobe for awhile in L.A. As we know there were ups and downs in his life. I also happened to be at one of the most incredible games he ever played. It was January 21, 2006 when he scored an amazing 81 points against the Toronto Raptors. I got tickets from our sports and anchor and took a buddy of mine to Staples Center for the game. Little did we know we'd be watching history being made. The place went nuts... it was a night to remember. I texted my buddy over the weekend to check in with him. He now lives in Mississippi... and he still has the ticket stub.
