If you saw the movie with Tom Hanks as Mr. Rogers, you saw him play a man who had an incredibly positive impact on kids.
In that film, “A Beautiful Day in the Neighborhood”, you saw how the real Mr. Rogers helped so many children through the years cope with difficult things like divorce and illness.
Now Tom Hanks has an opportunity to in real life to help all of us deal with the coronavirus, something that is impacting everyone, kids and adults, in some way.
Tom Hanks and his wife Rita Wilson getting the coronavirus could give all of us a sense of calm.Just listen to the way Hanks announced it, saying:
“We Hanks will be tested, observed and isolated for as long as public health and safety requires. Not much more to it than a one-day-at-a-time approach, no?We will keep the world posted and updated.Take care of yourselves.”
In other words, it’s making us feel that if Tom Hanks and his wife can deal with it, we can all deal with it.
His message is one that Mr. Rogers would certainly agree with, in his neighborhood and every neighborhood.
