WATCH: How to Get to Normal After Governor Orders New Closures

Here we go again. The Governor has spoken. The orders have been handed down.

Just look at any of the many headlines that people here in San Diego and up and down the state woke up to this morning.

‘California rolls back its reopening’

‘It’s California shutdown 2.0’

‘State’s order further pushes Californians back into their homes’

Local and state leaders had warned weeks ago that if there were to be a surge in cases of the coronavirus, they would have to pull things back a bit or as the Governor has put it time and time again, use the ‘dimmer switch’

So here we are. With thousands of businesses forced to close completely or shift as much of their operations as they can to the outdoors.

And as much as we knew it could happen, we all were pretty much hoping it wouldn’t.

But it has…with thousands of businesses in the state hit again. From restaurants and bars to salons and barbers.

And with the Governor saying the orders are in effect until further notice, it can’t make businesses or any of us feel good.

As one business owner told the San Diego Union Tribune, ‘This is just horrible. We’re going to go into the greatest depression ever’

This latest news certainly is depressing for a lot of people.

And with headlines about surges in cases in more than half of the states, that return to normal we’ve been hoping for may be later than sooner. But it will happen.

We will get through this. And as they say, we DO need to do it together and follow the guidelines to help get there together.
