Police have arrested four middle-school-aged kids – two 14-year-olds, a 12-year-old, and an 11-year-old – in a series of armed robberies and carjackings in both San Leandro and Oakland.
It started, police say, with an attempted robbery on Friday, April 9 at a Chase Bank. They didn't get any money from the victim, who apparently told them he was an off-duty police officer.
About six hours later, another victim had just arrived home when he was approached by two kids, who tried to carjack him using a gun. However, the victim was able to body-slam one of them, disarming him at the smae time. That is the video seen above...
But there is even more...
On Tuesday, Oakland police arrested three juveniles inside a white Kia SUV, for another armed robbery...the three were released to their guardians.
Then, on Friday, San Leandro police responded to a carjacking ...and caught the suspects in oakland. Again, four juveniles, an 11-year-old, a 12-year-old, and two 14-year olds.
San Leandro police say two of the suspects were the same suspects from the Chase Bank and and earlier carjacking.
