The Videos From Ukraine and the Real Life Look at War

All the videos coming out of Ukraine since the Russian invasion began are giving all of us who are not there a real-life view of war, and a reminder of just how terrible war is.

From the president of Ukraine’s video in his speech to the United States Congress today that showed images of the impact of war on his people to the videos taken by American journalists, some now who have been killed, to the thousands of videos on posted on social media from people inside Ukraine showing scenes of refugees fleeing and apartment buildings and hospitals bombed, they all are disturbing and hit us in our guts and hearts.

We are all watching a war in what they call ‘real time’, as it happens, with all of its harsh and deadly reality.

Sadly, America is not a stranger to war, from the two World Wars in the last century to the Korean, Vietnam, Iraq and Afghanistan wars, but not until now have we been able to see a war happening as its being fought on live video in the way we are now.

The video we had sent to us at KOGO from the Ukrainian gymnast and talk show host you have heard on the radio, along with a friend who’s a former tennis pro in Ukraine and now a soldier, is a video with a message that displays what the Ukrainian people themselves are doing and saying, in an effort to prevent their country from being destroyed.
