California Just Made It Easier To Buy Cocktails To-Go

The California State Senate has unanimously approved a potential new law that would expand the rules first put in place during the pandemic allowing the sale and delivery of to-go cocktails.

Last year, Governor Gavin Newsom signed a bill allowing to-go alcoholic drinks to be sold as part of take-out food orders.

Fox 5 San Diego says this year’s bill expands that legislation so that consumers can buy to-go drinks without having to ordering a meal.

KRON 4 says It also extends the carry-out cocktail provision to bars and allows cocktails to be delivered from bars and restaurants.

To prevent underage drinking, Alcohol Beverage Control will oversee alcohol delivery.
