STOCKTON - Chargers controlling owner Dean Spanos faces several allegations in a new lawsuit.
Dean's sister Dea Spanos Berberian filed a lawsuit last week in San Joaquin County Superior Court seeking full control of the Spanos Family Trust, which has a 36 percent stake in the Chargers. Multiple outlets reported the lawsuit claims Spanos has failed to uphold his financial duties as a co-trustee, is not following the wishes of his late parents and grandparents and is accused of misogynistic behavior.
Last March, Berberian filed a petition to force the sale of the team because of the trust's financial situation.
Dean and brother Michael and other sister Alexis issued a statement saying they are united in continuing the ownership of the team.
