San Diego Police say an officer shot someone during a standoff in the Fairmount Park neighborhood Tuesday morning.
Police did not immediately provide any details on the events that prompted the officer to fire at the person.
According to an SDPD watch commander, the incident began at around 8:11 a.m. when dispatchers received a call about a mental health incident in the 1500 block of Bridgeview Drive. Police said a person had reportedly attacked relatives in the home.
Two people were taken to the hospital, but their condition is not known at this time.
