El Cajon police say a husband shot his wife to death in the bedroom while their nine children were in their home.
Police say that's what they discovered after responding at 5:30 Monday morning to a report of a shooting at a home on Soma Place in El Cajon. The 37 year old wife was pronounced dead at the scene. Her 45 year old husband was questioned by detectives and then arrested and is jail on suspicion of murder charges.
The married couple's nine children, ranging in age from two to 17 were not hurt and are in the care of Child Protective Services.
El Cajon police have not disclosed the possible motive for the murder. The husband's name is Abdulhannan Abdurazaq al Wari. The wife's name was not immediately released.
Neighbors say the family moved into the home just a few months ago. Some neighbors say they have heard the couple arguing. One neighbor told NBC7, “There was always a man and a woman screaming at each other."
