SAN DIEGO - The City of San Diego is getting ready to make a big payout to a woman who was bitten by a police dog.
San Diego resident Jenna Cole is expected to receive some 600-thousand dollars from the city for her injuries after a San Diego Police dog escaped its trainers home and attacked her in her own yard in January of 2021. The lawsuit against the city claims the dog first tried to attack Cole's five-year-old daughter before turning on her biting her leg down to the bone and causing permanent damage.
The police dog apparently escaped through a broken gate while the trainer was cleaning the city-issued kennel.
