SAN DIEGO - A new water quality advisory is issued for a number l beaches in our area.
On Wednesday San Diego County officials said bacteria levels found in the waters at some beaches exceeded state health standards and may cause swimmers and surfers to get sick. The beaches include Tourmaline Surf Park, portions of Windansea Beach and La Jolla Shores as well as Forster Street Beach in Oceanside.
This is in addition to water quality advisories already in effect for Imperial Beach, Coronado, Shelter Island and Mission Bay. The county lifted the previous advisory for Torrey Pines State Beach.
The Tijuana Slough shoreline remains closed due to high bacteria levels.
