Arrests Made Following SWAT Standoffs

SAN DIEGO - Three people are under arrest after two separate SWAT standoffs in San Diego on Monday.

The first standoff began in the Chollas [[choy-us]] View community just after 6:00 a.m. following a shooting after an apparent argument between neighbors. The man who was shot was taken to the hospital where he later died. Police then discovered the suspect was not in the home they had surrounded but he and a woman were arrested some time later in the Clairemont community.

Also Monday morning another SWAT standoff happened when a narcotics suspect was holed up in a home in the University Heights community. Authorities finally arrested the man just before 9:00 p.m.

The incident happened in the same neighborhood where a pair of fatal drug overdoses happened last week.
