Dog Rescued After Chasing Big Horn Sheep Up Cliff

PALM SPRINGS - A fearless dog is home safe after chasing a group of big horn sheep up a cliff near Palm Springs.

The dog named Talulah got out of her yard Tuesday night and wandered onto a trail in a wildlife preserve. The next day a ranger spotted a group of big horn ship on a rocky cliff that were acting a little strange; they appeared to be grunting at something.

Then the ranger saw what appeared to be a mountain lion, but turned out to be the dog up there with them.

A rescue crew, which included some Palm Springs police officers, got the dog down safely and reunited with her family.

Members of a rescue team with the Oswit Land Trust, Palm Springs Wildlife Advocates and the Palm Springs Police Department helped rescue a dog after it chased a group of big horn sheep up a cliff.
